Holy Family preview debut album with ‘Trail Of Songs’ track
The Gothenburg duo release their debut album via Melodic Records this August.

Gothenburg duo Holy Family aka Anton Ekman and Viktor Hansson are a shoe-in for best album title of the year, surely.
‘Can’t Dance, Won’t Steal, Need Some Help’ - a collection of issues that trouble the modern day conscience. Imagine getting by in society without either of those traits - dancing, a knack for theft. It’s impossible.
The pair are signed to Melodic Records for the release of their debut album - it’s out 21st July and it’s being headed up by a new track, ‘Trail of Songs’. Precisely structured but free to roam, it’s an exploratory, oddly triumphant work of melancholy.
Anyone new to Holy Family might guess from their album title that they’re not the type to take things seriously, but ‘Trail of Songs’ proves they put a whole lot of thought into their actual songs. Stabs of synth and scattershot percussion - this isn’t the work of mere chancers.
DIY’s got the first play of ‘Trail of Songs’ below.
Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
