Hookworms share new track ‘Each Time We Pass’, featuring Virginia Wing’s Alice Merida Richards
Cathartic, abstract and certainly treading off the beaten path.
Ahead of the release of third LP ‘Microshift’ this Friday, Hookworms have shared ‘Each Time We Pass’.
An uncharacteristically gentle track featuring guest vocals from Virginia Wing’s Alice Merida Richards, it shows yet another fresh angle from the band following the LCD Soundsystem-esque curveball of lead single ‘Negative Space’.
Of the new track, Hookworms state: “This track was the first time we have ever truly collaborated with an artist external to the band, in the most modern sense of the word. It was an extremely rewarding experience and it is one of the only Hookworms songs where I can happily stand back and admire it as it had been written by another band.”
The Leeds group also feature in the February issue of DIY - available in shops and online now, speaking about the flood that devastated their recording studio before the making of the record and the subsequent rebuilding process that informed ‘Microshift’.

‘Microshift’ is available via Domino this Friday (February 2nd).
