Idlewild’s Roddy Woomble Solo Tour Announced
Idlewild frontman Roddy Woomble has revealed plans to tour solo.
Idlewild. I’m very much a part of that band, it’s as much Allan, Colin, Rod and Gavin’s band as it is mine, so this whole experience has been full of nerves and excitement, and pride. It might sell two hundred copies, but the fact that it’s going to exist is enough for me. And I say solo album very figuratively, since it’s really an album by a new group, nothing on it sounds like me with an acoustic guitar, I think it’ll surprise a few folk for sure. It’s folk, but it’s not.”
