“I’m pinching myself” - Michael C. Hall talks his Bowie Mercury Prize performance
The actor will be making a special appearance as part of Bowie’s nomination for his final album ‘★’.

Later this evening, actor Michael C. Hall will be taking to the stage as part of this year’s Mercury Prize ceremony, for a performance in memory of the late, great Davie Bowie. Earlier on, the actor - or, you know, Dexter Morgan, for those in the know - hit the red carpet to open up about the experience that lies ahead of him.
“I don’t really have a sense of what the evening will be like,” he told reporters. It’ll be Hall’s first appearance at the prize-giving. “But I have gained an appreciation for what a prestigious thing this is.”
His inclusion in the evening comes ahead of his appearance in the Lazarus musical, which will be opening at London’s King’s Cross Theatre on 8th November.
“I’m pinching myself because this is so far beyond anything I could’ve anticipated when I signed on to do the musical Lazarus,” he continued. “I’m very honoured to be asked to be apart of it.”
Davie Bowie is nominated for ‘★’, which was released earlier this year. Watch the video for ‘Lazarus’ below.
