Presenting In The Running: a special DIY supplement for the 2018 Hyundai Mercury Prize
The new publication features interviews with shortlisted artists, and will be available at select stockists and at the ceremony in London this Thursday.

We’re heading down to the 2018 Hyundai Mercury Prize at London’s Eventim Apollo this Thursday (20th September), and will be bringing a special new edition of DIY along with us!
We’re pleased to reveal In The Running, our new supplement dedicated to this year’s prize, featuring interviews with shortlisted artists and our take on why the shortlist features 12 albums that have defined young careers, pushed British music in new, fascinating directions and reflected the zeitgeist perfectly.
Inside, we speak to Everything Everything about how they interrogated the way global politics affects the lives of everyday people on ‘A Fever Dream’, to Novelist about how he tried to recreate the feeling of life in 2018 on his debut ‘Novelist Guy’, and to Wolf Alice on how they swerved any traditional second album problems on last year’s ‘Visions Of A Life’ among many others.
In The Running is be available at a handful of DIY stockists around the UK, and will also be able to be picked up at this Thursday’s ceremony at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith.
