Update
It looks like Interpol’s new album is nearly done
The band have shared an update on Instagram.
Last year, Interpol celebrated the 15th birthday of their debut album ‘Turn On The Bright Lights’ by playing it in full around the world on an anniversary tour.
Now it looks like the New Yorkers have almost completed work on their next studio album.
Back in January of last year, upon announcing the ‘Turn On The Bright Lights’ tour no less, the band revealed that they would be releasing a new album on Matador in 2018, and they’ve now shared a new pic on Instagram which suggests the album is currently being mastered.
A Bowie-featuring pic, the update comes with the simple caption: “Mastering”.
Obviously it’s not too much to work on, but looks very exciting from where we’re sitting! The band last released a full-length with 2014’s ‘El Pintor’.
