Iron & Wine and Band of Horses’ Ben Bridwell cover Sade and Unicorn on Letterman
The two covers are taken from the pair’s forthcoming covers album, ‘Sing Into Your Mouth’.
Iron & Wine and Band of Horses’ Ben Bridwell appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman last night, and performed a cover of ‘No Way Out of Here’. Originally released by Unicorn in 1976, the song became widely known two years later when it was covered by David Gilmour of Pink Floyd. Bridwell and Beam also shared two recordings; a cover of Sade’s ‘Bullet Proof Soul,’ and their studio version of ‘No Way Out of Here’.
The two musicians have teamed up for a covers album titled ‘Sing Into Your Mouth’. Along with Sade and Unicorn covers, it’s set to feature re-imaginings of songs by Talking Heads, Spiritualized, and more. The record will come out on 17th July, on Beam’s Black Cricket and Bridwell’s Brown record labels, via Caroline.
