Jack White, Kings of Leon & BANKS open new series of Later… with Jools Holland
M83 and Nashville singer Kandace Springs also appeared on the show.
The new, 49th series of Later… with Jools Holland opened last night, featuring performances from Jack White and Kings of Leon.
The former performed an acoustic version of The White Stripes’ ‘We’re Going to be Friends’, following the release of his career-spanning compilation, ‘Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016’.
Kings of Leon were last night’s special guests, performing two songs from their new album ‘WALLS’. They played latest single ‘Waste a Moment’, plus a previously unheard track, ‘Around the World’.
They were joined by LA star BANKS, who performed ‘Gemini Feed’; M83, playing ‘Go!’ alongside Mai Lan; plus Nashville singer Kandace Springs, performing ‘Talk to Me’.
Oh, and Sting. Sting was there too.
Next week’s edition is set to star Jamie T, Madness, Beth Orton, Gallant and Rag’n’Bone Man.
