House rules: Jack White announces new album ‘Boarding House Reach’

He’s also shared two new tracks from the record!
Last month, Jack White delivered ‘Servings and Portions from My Boarding House Reach’, a mysterious collage of a track that seemed to piece together numerous different elements.
Now he’s back with news of a new album! ‘Boarding House Reach’ will be out later this year on Columbia/ Third Man and he’s now shared not one but two new tracks from the collection. The first, ‘Connected By Love’, was recorded at Sear Sound in New York City, Capitol Studios in Los Angeles and Third Man Studio in Nashville. Playing alongside Jack is Q-Tip and John Legend drummer Louis Cato, Talib Kweli keyboardist Neal Evans, David Byrne percussionist Bobby Allenda and more. It’s also accompanied by a brand new video directed by Pasqual Gutierrez.
Not only that but Jack’s also lifted the lid on ‘Respect Commander’, a shapeshifting number that features some simply blistering guitar riffs.
Jack was also recently announced for this year’s Governor’s Ball, Boston Calling and Shaky Knees festivals.
Watch the video for ‘Connected By Love’ and listen to ‘Respect Commander’ below.
