James Acaster’s Temps announces ‘AFTER PARTY’ EP

The five-track release is a companion to his recently-released ‘PARTY GATOR PURGATORY’ album.

The musical project of comedian James Acaster - aka Temps - has announced plans to release a new EP next month.

The ‘After Party’ EP will act as a companion to his recently-released ‘PARTY GATOR PURGATORY’ album, which landed back in May, and contains five tracks that are - in James’ own words - “a little more menacing” than those featured on the record. It’s set for release on 8th September via Bella Union and will feature appearances from Blanck Mass, NNAMDÏ, Law Holt and more.

“I love them just as much and they definitely exist in the same universe as the album tracks, they just felt like their own chapter and presented themselves as such as we were making them,” James continues. “Also I wanted to keep the album under an hour long so separated the spookier tracks and made a companion EP out of them. This is the end of the Party Gator’s story, its own personal katabasis. Here we find out what its resurrection truly meant and look on sympathetically as the gator comes to accept its situation.”

Alongside the news of the EP, Temps has shared ‘firstbirthday’ - which you can hear below - and announced plans for a handful of record store appearances which will feature James in conversation about the record.
