James Blake covers Simon & Garfunkel’s ‘The Sound of Silence’

Hello Blakey, my old friend…

Last night’s James Blake Radio 1 Residency saw the producer covering Simon & Garfunkel’s ‘The Sound of Silence’.

Blake’s cover closed a show which included a special guest slot from Bon Iver aka Justin Vernon. Both acts discussed the potential of a 1-800 Dinosaur team-up for Vernon’s Eaux Claires music festival, which opened this year.

‘The Sound of Silence’ was dedicated to a friend of James Blake’s, who passed away on New Year’s Eve.
