James Blake shares tender new LP preview ‘I Had A Dream She Took My Hand’

James Blake has continued teasing his forthcoming new album ‘Trying Times’ (due to arrive on 13th March via Good Boy Records) with its latest single, ‘I Had A Dream She Took My Hand’ - a starkly beautiful, stripped-back offering that spotlights his emotion-filled, tender vocals.

Similar to recent cut ‘Death Of Love’, this new track balances between optimism and unease, reflecting the LP’s meditations on the overwhelm and pressures of contemporary life.

It’s also arrived accompanied by a striking live video, too, in which Blake brings us into a corporate-looking, curiously soulless space (a reference, perhaps, to the office setting of ‘Death Of Love”s visualiser), creating a stark contrast between this backdrop and his intimate performance. 

Additionally, the former DIY cover star has also shared plans to take ‘Trying Times’ out on the road for a run of North American tour dates, including stops in New York, Boston, Toronto, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Tickets will be available via presale from 10am local time on 17th February, with general sale opening at 10am local time on Friday 20th February.
