James Iha Readies New Solo Album, ‘Look To The Sky’

It’ll be released this September.

James Iha has confirmed details of his new solo album.

‘Look To The Sky’, his second solo effort following 1998’s ‘Let It Come Down’, will be released on 18th September via The End Records.

The record was produced by Iha himself with guitarist Nathan Larson at his own studio in New York City. It features guest appearances from Karen O and Nick Zinner, Sara Quin, Antony and Television guitarist Tom Verlaine among others.

Of the record, Iha says: ‘I wanted this record to be more eclectic and reflect all of my tastes which is why it took so long. It was important to me for the record to be multi-dimensional and complex. Being a part of the Smashing Pumpkins, and working with so many other bands and artists since my last album gave me a fresh perspective on what music could be.’

Preview the record with ‘To Who Knows Where’ on SoundCloud.
