Jarvis Cocker Appointed Editor-At-Large For Faber & Faber

He will be following in the footsteps of Pete Townshend, who held a similar role in the 1980s.

Jarvis Cocker, it has been announced today, has been appointed Editor-at-Large for publishers Faber and Faber.

He’ll be working alongside Lee Brackstone and Hannah Griffiths in ‘a broad commissioning role,’ taking up the post in January.

Cocker says: ‘I am proud, and more than a little excited, to be asked to work with Faber in an editorial capacity. It is my dearest hope that we will produce some fantastic books together.’

He will be following in the footsteps of Pete Townshend, who held a similar role in the 1980s.

As previously reported, Cocker will release a book of annotated selected lyrics on 20th October, titled ‘Mother, Brother, Lover’.
