Savages’ Jehnny Beth has joined up with The Strokes’ Julian Casablancas for a new 7” release.

The pair have linked up for a cover of ‘Boy-Girl’, originally by Danish band Sort Sol, featuring Lydia Lunch. Sort Sol remain unsung gems, according to Beth. “I would be pleased to make their name better.”

Casablancas has an honest take on the original. ““I had never heard the song before and still have no idea what the hell the words are talking about. It sounds like a Danish dude trying sound like he’s saying English sounding words”.

The track’s been launched alongside a green screen-centric video, where Beth and Casablancas do their thing in front of lit up bars and, erm, crocodiles.

It’s being released on 18th December via Pop Noire and Cult Records. Grab it on iTunes.

Savages released their new album ‘Adore Life’ on 22nd January.
