Summer Camp’s Jeremy Warmsley shares first solo song in a decade - hear the sprawling ‘Moment’

The track was written for new BBC drama Wanderlust.

We know Jeremy Warmsley best as one half of Summer Camp, but he’s also released a smattering of solo material over the years.

In 2006 he shared a full-length called ‘The Art Of Fiction’, which was followed two years later by a handful of singles.

Today, he’s shared his first new solo track in a decade, the sprawling ‘Moment’. The track was written for new BBC drama Wanderlust, starring Toni Colette, Zawe Ashton and Steven Mackintosh. The track is set to air on tonight’s (18th September) episode of the BBC1 show, where a character plays another what they say is their favourite song. No pressure on the quality here, then…

Luckily, ‘Moment’ is a delight - a nine-minute odyssey, Jeremy’s vocals soak into waves of piano and jazzy percussion gorgeously, and the whole this has a woozy, almost psychedelic feel to it.

It’s this meditative state that justifies the track’s extended length; it seeps in across its running time to sound like somewhat of a dream by the end.
