Back in July, Jessie Ware stormed back with ‘Midnight’, her first track from an upcoming third album (which should be out a little later in the year!)
Now she’s unveiled a second track from the new LP, ‘Selfish Love’, which premiered on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 Radio Show. Speaking of the track, Jessie said: “‘Selfish Love’ is a track that reminds me why I enjoy singing so much. Even though it’s coming at the end of the summer, I hope you play it in the heat”.
Speaking of heat, Jessie decamped to some warmer climes for the video, directed by Tom Beard. It’s set in Mallorca, and is essentially a prequel to her video for ‘Midnight’. Piece the two clips together and you get the story of a couple broken apart. It’s like a classic noir tragedy, beautifully shot and pretty much impossible to take your eyes away from.
Watch the video for ‘Selfish Love’ below.
