Jet Announce Break-Up

To be honest guys, we’re not hoping for too many hits from this one.

But yes, alas, Aussie band Jet have split up. Or in their words, their ‘discontinuation as a group’.

“After many successful years of writing, recording and touring,’ the ever-modest moderate rock outfit started their press release.‘We wish to announce our discontinuation as a group. From the many pubs, theatres, stadiums and festivals all across the world it was the fans that made our amazing story possible and we wish to thank them all. Thank you, and goodnight.”

The Melbourne band - best known for their hits ‘Are You Gonna Be My Girl’ and the not-so-feminist-titled ‘Cold Hard Bitch’ - formed in 2001 and last released an album in 2009.
