Jim Ward Plans New Solo Album

The ex At The Drive-In singer will release his first solo album.

Jim Ward, lead singer of Sparta, and co-founder of the legendary post-hardcore band At The Drive-In has recently signed to Xtra Mile Records.

His first solo record, entitled ‘Quiet In The Valley, On The Shores The End Begins’, is scheduled to drop in early August.

The album, which has been five years in the making, was recorded in El Paso Texas, with fellow band member Gabe Gonzalez, and is a compilation of three previous EP’s worth of music - 2007’s ‘Quiet’, 2009’s ‘In the Valley, on the Shores’ and 2011’s ‘The End Begins’.

The first single from the album will be ‘Broken Songs’. Ward will then embark on a UK and European tour later in the year-more details on that to come.
