Jodie Abacus captures a ‘Good Feeling’ with vibrant new single
Bright-eyed energy shines through the newcomer’s latest single.
There’s more than simple, everyday happiness running through Jodie Abacus’ veins, but that doesn’t stop him from being a magnet for the good times. On his new single, ‘Good Feeling’, he brings a sun-drenched, day-glow spirit that shakes off bad feelings in a flash.
“I’m just here smiling on a train ride to the office,” he sings, bringing the perspective of absolutely nobody in real life, ever. Reality might be taking a u-turn on Abacus’ latest, but that doesn’t stop this from being a breath of fresh air. Like Thundercat with serious, unrelenting mainstream potential, this is the sound of funk and pure-pop meeting like best friends reunited.
DIY’s got the premiere of ‘Good Feeling’ below, following a play on MistaJam’s show. Listen below.
Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
