Jon Hopkins’ ‘Opalescent’ debut is getting a fancy-pants reissue
It’ll be available to snap up on vinyl for the first ime.

Jon Hopkins is reissuing his 2001 debut album ‘Opalescent’ in snazzy, fancy-pants form. It’ll be available on vinyl for the first time ever, all remastered and everything.
The producer’s been keeping a fairly sneaky profile since playing last year’s Latitude; occasionally popping out of the shadows to remix Lorde and Disclosure’s ‘Magnet,’ and appearing at David Lynch’s Festival of Disruption. He’ll also play Bon Iver’s Eaux Claires festival in Wisconsin this August.
Along with announcing the ‘Opalescent’ reissue, Jon Hopkins has also shared a newly revamped version of debut track ‘Cold Out There’. Listen below.
