JPEGMAFIA & Danny Brown release ‘Scaring the Hoes’ documentary
The video reveals behind-the-scenes footage of the making of their collaborative album.

JPEGMAFIA has shared a video documenting the behind-the-scenes making of his recent collaboration album with Danny Brown, ‘Scaring the Hoes, Vol. 1’.
The 26-minute video includes footage of Brown laying down vocals in the studio alongside JPEGMAFIA, and the two artists discussing influences and their musical direction.
Released on JPEGMAFIA’s personal YouTube channel, he wrote: “Showing some of the recording process. Danny would tell me what kind of sound he wanted and i would go home & make it. After the beats were made i would take trips to see Danny. i would bring him 5 - 6 beats a trip. We captured vocals to the ones he liked. This is the footage of that.”
‘Scaring the Hoes, Vol. 1’ was released on 24th March on AWAL Recordings, the first full-length collaborative project between the two hip-hop auteurs. Read the 5-star DIY review here.
Baltimore rapper and producer JPEGMAFIA’s fourth solo album ‘LP!’ was released in 2021, while Detroit rapper Brown’s sixth album ‘Quaranta’ is scheduled for release later in 2023.
