JPEGMAFIA drops surprise new album ‘I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU’ 

Having recently teased its release with preview singles ‘don’t rely on other men’ and ‘SIN MIEDO’, JPEGMAFIA has now unveiled the full extent of his latest project, ‘I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU’ (out now via AWAL). 

It’s his first solo album since 2021, and follows his acclaimed collaborative release with Danny Brown, ‘SCARING THE HOES’, last year. This time around, Peggy’s teamed up with the likes of Denzel Curry, Vince Staples, and Buzzy Lee - all of whom feature on one of the LP’s tracks - while the man himself assumed mixing and production duties. 

Thematically, ‘I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU’ takes in capitalism, conscription, the war on drugs, patriotism, and more, speaking to JPEGMAFIA’s continued pushing of boundaries and challenging of convention, even seven albums into the game.
