JW Francis reveals new track ‘Holy Mountain’

Taken from his upcoming second album.

After announcing that the follow-up to November’s ‘We Share A Similar Joy’ will be arriving on 1st October, New York’s JW Francis is giving us the latest taste of ‘Wanderkid’ with new track ‘Holy Mountain’.

“Holy Mountain is a song about going out and doing whatever you want to do right now,” he explains. “It’s addressed to a lover you haven’t met yet. The video was shot in Oklahoma featuring a bunch of my family there. I wanted it to be a time capsule of my time in Oklahoma right before coming out to walk the Appalachian Trail.”

“WANDERKID is an album about escape,” he adds. “It’s supposed to be a gut punch of a record about an anti-hero named WANDERKID who wants to get OUT: out of his living situation, out of his head, out of his life. This album is like looking out the car window with an urgent desire to be on the other side. It was finished during the most recent global pandemic, so hopefully folks find it relatable.”
