Kaytranada confirms debut album is on its way
It’s the first news since he released his track ‘Leave Me Alone’.
Montreal-based artist Kaytranada has seemingly broken the silence on his future, by announcing he is set to release a debut record through XL Recordings. The Haitian was originally scheduled to release his ‘So Bad’ EP in the summer, but it looks more likely that now the EP will be held back in favour of releasing a full-length in the new year.
Kaytranada, whose real name is Louis Kevin Celestin, took to his Facebook page yesterday to confirm the news of his forthcoming record in the most simple of ways. He did so by sharing an image showing a contract between his label and himself, with the words ‘ALBUM COMING’, confirming that his debut album should be on its way shortly.
The news follows on from the track he released earlier this year, in the form of the sumptuously-produced ‘Leave Me Alone’, as featuring vocals from Shay Lia.
Listen to ‘Leave Me Alone’ below.
Kaytranada will also be playing a rather massive UK show in 2015, when he performs at London’s Brixton Academy on 20th March.
