Keith Richards wants to record a new Rolling Stones album

The legendary band have been throwing ideas around, “but there’s nothing definite,” says Richards, the band’s guitarist.

Keith Richards has stated in an interview with Rolling Stone that he wishes to record a new album with The Rolling Stones. The group are to begin a 15-date North American stadium tour this summer, having recently announced a reissue of their 1971 album ’Sticky Fingers’.

Speaking about his forthcoming solo album and the group’s US tour, Richards told Andy Greene: “We’re [The Rolling Stones] talking about doing some recording after this tour, but there’s nothing definite. We just threw out the idea. I’d like to get the boys back in the studio again.”

Asked about when his solo album is likely to be released, Richards says that he “thinks it’s September, but I don’t know for sure.” Richards’ third album follows his 1988 release ‘Talk Is Cheap’ and his last album ‘Main Offender’, released in 1992.
