Kendrick Lamar to release new short film, ‘m.A.A.d’

Kendrick Lamar has confirmed plans to release a 14-minute short film around his 2012 LP ‘good kid, m.A.A.d city’.

‘m.A.A.d’ is set to debut at Sundane’s mini-film fest NEXT, which takes place at Los Angeles’ Ace Hotel Downtown.

The film comes directed by Kahlil Joseph, aka. the guy behind the lens for Flying Lotus’ ‘Until the Quiet Comes’ short film. That picked up a Sundance Award this year.

Commissioned by Kendrick, the film is said to bring “a kaleidoscope of storylines and ideas that defy typical categorization to explore new languages and new forms.”

Debuting on 9th August, tickets are available here, priced from $25.
