Kim Gordon questions the AI takeover in latest single ‘DIRTY TECH’

She’s also announced a run of Spring 2026 UK/EU shows.

Kim Gordon questions the AI takeover in new 'PLAY ME' single 'DIRTY TECH'

Ahead of the release of her forthcoming new album ‘PLAY ME’ (out on 13th March), Kim Gordon has shared another taste of what to expect in the form of new single ‘DIRTY TECH’.

A dissonant, aptly industrial offering, the track follows the arrival of recent cuts ‘NOT TODAY’ and ‘BYEBYE25!’, and finds Kim exploring the uncomfortable power balance between humans and robots in our increasingly tech-oriented world.

“I was kind of musing about, is my next boss going to be an AI chatbot?,” she has explained, noting that “we’re the first ones whose lights are going to go out—not the tech billionaires. It’s so abstract that people can’t comprehend.”

‘DIRTY TECH’ has also landed alongside an uncanny new visualiser - directed by Moni Haworth - in which Kim is the sole occupant of an eerily empty office building. Check it out for yourself here:

In addition to her latest single, Kim has also just announced that she’ll be marking ‘PLAY ME”s release with a handful of shows around Europe - in Nantes, London, Brussels, Paris, Berlin, Wroclaw, and Warsaw - with more set to be confirmed soon. Find her 2026 tour schedule (so far) below.
