Kult Country crash waves of feedback in their ‘Trembling Moon’ video
Manchester band play DIY’s Argyll Stage at Beacons Festival this August.
Kult Country’s warm, fuzzy embrace of a debut single has turned heads in unison. Part-shoegaze, part-a product of a bubbling up Manchester scene, ‘Trembling Moon’ is a no-holds-barred introduction. It doesn’t so much tickle the conscience as dive straight in, with zero warning.
A video for this single works to a similar method. Waves and waves of blurry, semi-conscious images crash into view. By and large this is just a performance video, but it circumnavigates television static and comes off like a bleary-eyed hangover rather than a direct portal into the band’s studio knowhow.
DIY’s Argyll Stage at Beacons Festival is set to play host to Kult Country on 7th August. See full stage times here.
The band will also play Brighton’s Green Door Store on 2nd August with Brown Brogues at Give it a Rest-ival (nice).
