Kurt Cobain paintings used in Montage of Heck now online

For his recent documentary on Kurt Cobain, ‘Montage of Heck’, director Brett Morgen was granted special access to the Nirvana frontman’s archives, unearthing some never-seen video, unheard footage and artwork by the late singer.

Some of the paintings by Cobain were used as part of the animation for the documentary, and these have now been made available to view online ahead of HBO’s television premiere next week. The four images shared by HBO/Kurt Cobain; End Of Music include a faux-promotional poster for ‘Come As You Are’, and a framed image of puppets, babies and angels that looks similar to the ‘Insecticide’ artwork.

‘Montage Of Heck’ is out now in the UK on DVD and Blu-Ray. US television network HBO will exclusively premiere the documentary on Monday 4th May. For further screening details, head to the film’s official website here.
