L7 are back! Band announce reunion shows, Download Festival appearance
LA grungers return after 15 years away.
L7 have confirmed plans to reunite this year, by announcing their first live performances in almost 15 years.
Donita Sparks and Suzi Gardner’s frenzied grunge has been out of the spotlight for some time - last night the LA group revealed plans to return for a handful of festival performances, with “more dates” to be announced very soon.
So far, L7 are confirmed to play Spain’s Azkena Rock Festival, France’s Hell Fest and Download Festival on these shores.
Alongside the festival appearance, L7 are backing a new documentary based on the group’s history. ‘L7: Pretend We’re Dead’ has its own Kickstarter page - at the time of writing, it’s a third of the way towards its $97,000 goal. Sarah Price directs an “all-access journey into the 1990’s grunge movement that took the world by storm.”

Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
