La Plage unveil new single, ‘Rendez Vous’

Say bonjour to La Plage, a Belgian trio consisting of Flore, Loïc, and Nico. Together they specialise in the instant, sunshine-soaked, go-out-and-grab-it pop. The kind that doesn’t settle for a toe-tap or a quick shuffle - it demands total, all-out fandom.

They’re set to release their new single this September via NYC label Honeymoon, and DIY’s excited to have the first play of ‘Rendez Vous’. Schooled in the snapping, muted guitar swagger of Phoenix, it’s topped by Flore’s vocals, which run somewhere between amped-up and sugar-doused. “I’ve got this burning feeling inside of me,” she shouts, astutely summing up a love-at-first-sight feeling like she’s just tasted summer for the first time.

La Plage is (obviously) French for the beach. That’s all you need to know when it comes to this hook-centric monster of a single.
