Lanterns on the Lake share new single ‘Real Life’
The song is taken from their forthcoming record ‘Versions of Us’.
Lanterns on the Lake have dropped a new track ‘Real Life’. It’s taken from their upcoming album ‘Versions of Us’ out 2nd June via Bella Union.
Hazel Wilde of the band says of the song: “This song is about living your imaginary fully-realized life. It’s about the promise that you make to yourself and others of something better rather than living in the moment and accepting who and where you are. It’s essentially one for the daydreamers.”
Radiohead’s Philip Selway features on the drums, stepping in after the departure of their former drummer Ol Ketteringham. “Philip brought an energy to the songs that reignited our belief in them,” says Wilde. “Within a few weeks we had a whole other version of the album and things felt very different. We had changed the destiny of the record.”
