Låpsley announces new single, shares ‘Burn’
XL-signing celebrates her birthday today, sharing a new song.
Holly Fletcher aka Låpsley has shared the first half of a brand new single.
‘Burn’ is set to link up with ‘Hurt Me’ for a forthcoming release on XL Recordings. It follows on from the debut EP ‘Understudy’, released in the first week of this year and picking up 5 stars on DIY.
This new cut shares some similarities with that first work, but it’s getting by on a darker, post-midnight energy. Sombre piano notes try and steal the show, but everything boils down to Fletcher’s ever-changing, pitch-shifting vocal.
Listen to ‘Burn’ below.
