Laura Marling stars in short film, featuring three new tracks

Laura Marling has starred in a short film titled ‘Woman Driver’, directed by Chris Perkel for the 72-Hour National Film Challenge.

Filmed in Marfa, Texas, Marling won the Best Musical and Best Actress awards while appearing alongside actor Casey Thomas Brown. She co-wrote the story, playing a hitchhiker who jumps on board a school bus, rejecting Brown’s advances.

The film features three new tracks from Marling’s upcoming album ‘Short Movie’, including ‘Walk Alone’. Marling’s fifth album will be released by Virgin EMI on 23rd March.
