Laura Mvula Becomes Bookies’ Favourite To Win Mercury Prize 2013
Mvula’s ‘Sing To The Moon’ debut has replaced Disclosure as favourite to win the prize.

debut album ‘Sing To The Moon’ has swooped in to become bookies’ favourite to pick up this year’s Mercury Prize.
With the winner being announced in a ceremony on Wednesday 30th October (set to be televised on More4 in full), Mvula’s first record replaces Disclosure’s ‘Settle’, which has been the favourite to win since nominees were announced in late August.
Also in contention are Arctic Monkeys with ‘AM’ and Savages’ ‘Silence Yourself’. Laura Marling is third favourite with her ‘Once I Was An Eagle’ record.
