Eye of Le Tigre
Le Tigre release one-off single in support of Hillary Clinton
‘I’m With Her’ is the first music from the group in yonks.
Earlier this month Kathleen Hanna revealed that - for one song only - she’d be getting back together with her old dance-punk band Le Tigre. Though she kept the reasoning for her reunion with Johanna Fateman and JD Samson under wraps - “I will not say what it’s about,” she said - it was easy to hazard a guess it might be political.
A song lending Le Tigre’s support to Hillary Clinton in the US. presidential election, ‘I’m With Her’ sees an especially sardonic Hanna mocking Trump and his supporters, complete with a battle-cry of “Who do we want? We want HRC!” and a list of Hillary Clinton’s qualifications.
It also comes with a video directed by Laura Parnes. Have a watch below
