Listen: Adult Jazz Stream ‘Am Gone’ Track
Bright-faced Leeds bunch release their new 12 double-A-side single this week.”

With a name like Adult Jazz, Leeds’ newly emerged oddballs could be pegged in as a serious band. Indeed on ‘Springful’ and new song ‘Am Gone’, they’re not exactly taking their craft with a pinch of salt. It’s anything but light humour, the stuff of four chords and a catchy chorus. Still, in their Dirty Projectors channelling early efforts there’s a playful edge that avoids this double-A-side single from coming off all holier than thou.
‘Am Gone’ enjoys going off on countless tangets, employing an anything goes approach that makes ample use of guitars and then some. It’s unpredictable, wild in nature. And it’s making for arguably the most exciting new music based in the UK. No understatement.
