Listen: BANKS Covers Aaliyah’s ‘Are You That Somebody’
BANKS also performed an acoustic version of new single ‘Brain’ at the Live Lounge.

Upon her arrival in the UK for a headline tour, BANKS visited Phil & Alice in the Radio 1 studios last night to perform two tracks. One was an acoustic version of the new Shlohmo-produced single ‘Brain’. The other was ‘Are You That Somebody’, originally by Aaliyah.
Minus the flashy production and heady bass hits, Gillian Banks’ vocals seriously stand out, effortlessly taking on a song that should probably remain untouched in most cases.
Listen to both performances in the Maida Vale Live Lounge below.
