is the project of a guy called Steven, basing himself out in Beaumont, writing hormone-heavy songs luvvied up and there for the taking.

He was featured in yesterday’s Neu Bulletin, but it seems important to point out that the guy has an entire debut album readied for listening.

Bon Iver comparisons sweep in, largely because of the intimacy of these tracks, ‘who who who’ especially. Even so, this is more Volcano Choir than Justin Vernon gone solo. It’s unstructured, loosely applied abstractions coming together into one sleepy haze.
