Listen: Blooms Streams New Track, ‘Lust’

Louise Cunnane aka Blooms has shared a new song from her ‘If’ EP, out this April via Dusk Dais Dawn. The new song links up with ‘If I’, which we premiered back in February, plus the heart-racing debut ‘Skin’.

On the face of it, the Darragh Nolan from Sacred Animals-produced ‘Lust’ is Cunnane’s most simple take to date. Emphasis is on repetition, where the line ‘lost in lust’ circuits like blood pumping to the heart. Everything that simmers underneath heated vocals sounds like it’s being intentionally drowned out to a whimper. These are harsh, prominent synth lines, but they’re intent on giving room to Blooms’ almighty vocals.
