Bombay Bicycle Club release new track ‘Is It Real’

It’s our last glimpse into their new record ‘Everything Else Has Gone Wrong’ before it drops on Friday (17th January).

With their fifth record ‘Everything Else Has Gone Wrong’ set to land on Friday (17th January), Bombay Bicycle Club are giving us our last teaser of what to expect with new track ‘Is It Real’.

“‘Is It Real’ is a song about taking a trip down memory lane,” a statement says, “reminiscing about the old times and cherished memories, and wondering when sat next to the responsibilities and struggles of adult life, how any of those fondly remembered days were real.”

It’s also a classic BBC banger, of course.

The last track to be released before the full record is shared, back in our September issue, frontman Jack Steadman told us a little bit about going back to their indie roots for the new album. “There was so much stuff on the last album that you can kind of, in hindsight, see was leaning towards almost a Mr Jukes album,” he explained. “It was very summery and electronic, and almost just veering away from guitar music. Now that I feel like I’ve done that, we can just concentrate on making good guitar music again.”
