Those Circa Waves boys are so clean-looking and lovely it’s difficult to describe their music as having a ‘rough demo’ quality, but when it comes to new bedroom recording ‘Know One’, the rising Liverpool group get gritty like ‘Room On Fire’-era Strokes.

A grand old outing with countless riffs to dive into, ‘Know One’ makes Circa Waves’ breakneck, complex songwriting sound effortless. That takes some doing. That these guys aren’t already headlining festival stages seems ridiculous in itself - give it time.
