Creeper unveil new track ‘Annabelle’
It’s the latest exciting glimpse into their forthcoming second album, ‘Sex, Death & The Infinite Void’.
Following the news that their brand new album, the dramatically-titled ‘Sex, Death & The Infinite Void’, will be landing on 22nd May, Creeper have shared brand new track ‘Annabelle’.
“‘Annabelle’ was written in response to our experience with the Westboro Baptist Church whilst we were touring America,” says frontman Will Gould. “We’ve always proudly represented the so-called sinners, the weirdos, the outsiders and those who don’t feel like they fit in anywhere in this world. For many of our fans, our band is the one space they feel they CAN fit in. So we wrote them a satanic underworld anthem, a song to sing together in defiance. As the song says, ‘You’ve got to live a little when their world just wants you sad.’”
An absolute banger that follows their previous release ‘Born Cold’, it introduces the character of Annabelle, after Roe’s introduction in ‘Born Cold’. “Annabelle is due to marry the richest man in town,” a statement says, “but this song finds her meeting Roe for the first time in Lulu’s Tavern, a seedy bar in the fictional town of Calvary Falls.”
