Creeper rise from the dead to confirm new album ‘Sanguivore II: Mistress Of Death’

Rock’s most ghoulish outfit Creeper are back with the news that they’ll be following up their 2023 album ‘Sanguivore’ with an equally blood-thirsty sequel: ‘Sanguivore II: Mistress Of Death’ (due for release on 31st October via Spinefarm). 

Where previously, new records have seen the six-piece reinvent themselves completely, this LP will continue expanding on the world introduced by ‘Sanguivore’, this time taking ’80s America and the era of Satanic Panic as its narrative backdrop. “Beneath the flashing neon of a distant dream, a rock and roll nightmare is coming true,” vocalist William Von Gould has explained. “A vampire band rampages across 1980s America, leaving only corpses behind.

“But on the horizon, a shadow stirs. Part slasher, part satanic panic nightmare, a new force rises through the mist, ready to hunt the hunter. The Mistress Of Death is a vampire huntress on a path to end this vampire bloodline for good. But can she stake their hearts before the final curtain falls?”

What’s more, Creeper have formally introduced this gory tale via their bombastic new single ‘Blood Magick (It’s A Ritual)’ - an all-out theatrical opus of a track that takes cues from everything from Black Sabbath to Belinda Carlisle. Check out its video here:
