Listen: Doldrums Streams New Track ‘Dive Deep Pt. 1’

Don’t render it the sound of Airick Woodhead calming down, but compared to debut Doldrums album ‘Lesser Evil’, new song ‘Dive Deep pt 1’ - an extension from said record - is the sound of a guy finding solace in quieter corners.

‘Your voice is calling me over,’ wheels Woodhead, alongside a sleepy, swerving synth line and ‘restrained’ percussion (by his standards). It’s not a huge step aside from everything he’s released before, though. Weird-ass rhythms and arrangements persist - it’s just being executed in a different, less overwhelming form.
