Listen: FaltyDL Remixes Woman’s Hour’s ‘Her Ghost’
Percussive take from FaltyDL flips the original on its head - tomorrow Woman’s Hour play Brixton Academy with Metronomy.
It’s not like they’re undeserving of the favour, but Woman’s Hour have a habit of picking up really good remixes for their songs. Last year Manchester producer Oceaán delivered one of his very first remixes for ‘Darkest Place’, stripping everything away, providing his own vocals and going from there.
A new remix from the more established FaltyDL does the same thing - only slight traces of Woman’s Hour”s ‘Her Ghost’ remain. There’s still the same feel, the same underlying atmosphere, but above anything else the focus is on a percussive, frenzied blast of rhythm.
Tomorrow night (28th March), Woman’s Hour play Brixton Academy with Metronomy - read their interview about the dates in the new DIY Weekly.
