Listen to the lead track from the South London college rock revivalists’ debut album.
South London group Happyness can’t shake off their US college radio shtick, but that’s not a problem whatsoever. With a debut album around the corner, the fledging trio just shared a first take with ‘Great Minds Think Alike, All Brains Taste The Same’.
Arriving complete with earworm ‘oohs’, any instant melodic fix is countered with honest, teenage hormone-d lyrics that could’ve walked straight out of a high school movie.
‘Weird Little Birthday’ is out 16th July via Weird Smiling. The album was recorded at the band’s own Jelly Boy Studios.
