Listen: James Yorkston Announces New Album, Debuts New Track
‘I Was A Cat From A Book’ will be released on 13th August 2012 via Domino.
Earlier this year we told you that James Yorkston had plans to re-issue his album ‘Moving Up Country’ on 23rd April but now he has also revealed plans to release a new record this year as well.
‘I Was A Cat From A Book’ will be released on 13th August 2012 via Domino. The album was mostly recorded live in North Wales and was produced by James Yorkston and Dave Wrench. The record will be available on CD, vinyl and digital download.

The new 10th Anniversary Edition re-issue of ‘Moving Up Country’ consists of two discs, the first featuring the original album, the second a collection of ‘Moving Up Country’ demos. The double vinyl edition features all tracks from disc one with digital downloads of the bonus tracks.
You can catch James Yorkston And The Athletes at a few live dates this May, including: London Cecil Sharp House (29th May); Edinburgh The Caves (31st May); Reading St Marys Church (29th June).
