Listen: Janelle Monáe Shares New Track, ‘What Is Love’
New track forms part of the ‘Rio 2’ soundtrack.
Less ‘what is love, baby don’t hurt me’ and more a brand new track that soundtracks ‘Rio 2’, Janelle Monae’s back after ‘The Electric Lady’ with new song ‘What Is Love’.
Basically flying headfirst into the Amazon rainforest, it’s a tropically-infused number that still packs the funk-trotting excellence of last year’s LP. Carnival whistles, beach-ready guitar solos - this forms part of a soundtrack out 25th March. Bruno Mars also contributes a new song to the soundtrack.
